September 10th, 2025 Mileage: 81,050

While driving, it sounded like someone was fooling around on a squeaky mattress everywhere I went. It was constant. At a little over 80,000 miles the ball joint on the control arm was cracked and the control arm needed to be replaced. This is a safety issue. Not covered under warranty.

October 25th, 2025 Mileage 86,446

My Battery died. I needed a new one.

October 29th, 2025 Mileage 92,400

The noxious fumes have persisted all this time. I complained on most visits, but I was unsure if this was to be expected since it is my first time owning a diesel. On this visit, they did find an issue. There was a missing seal on the exhaust. I bought this SUV brand new. Other than general maintenance, Shortline GMC have been the only people under the hood. I had to pay about $650 to replace a seal missing since the vehicle was new. Not covered under warranty.

Noxious fumes persisted despite replacing the seal.

November 25th, 2025 Mileage 98,318

The check engine light came back on. I dropped it off and continued to complain about noxious fumes. Turns out there was a bad sensor controlling an aspect of the DPF. This was the only major repair covered under warranty since I bought the vehicle. This repair is what finally stopped the noxious fumes. So my Yukon had been working improperly for 98,000 miles doing untold damage to the exhaust system. But finally, the Yukon was operating as it should have been since brand new almost 100,000 miles into ownership.
